Enrollment Details

Placement

We register students on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to currently enrolled families and DCS staff, then to new DCS staff, then to the general public. Part-time schedules require our approval so we can ensure that daily capacity is not exceeded. If there are any issues with the part-time schedule you requested, we will contact you to determine options. This process may take several weeks. We expect to be able to confirm enrollment by the end of May.

Confirmation

Paperwork and contracts will distributed in June via email and will include a deadline for return in order to secure the spot.

You will receive an automated email from Eleyo when you submit the registration, and another email to indicate that your registration has been accepted if we have room. If you do not receive a spot, we will email to let you know that you have been placed on a waitlist.

If you do not return your signed contract and paperwork by the deadline, your spot may be given to another family. This is true for existing families as well as new families. We will attempt to contact you first, but please understand that we are unable to hold spots without confirmation. The demand for childcare is great and we must be consistent in our application of policies.

We use Eleyo to complete the majority of paperwork online; see directions above.

Two forms you will need to complete/return in hard copy are the Child Information Record and the Health Appraisal form.

Tuition

The $100 registration fee must be paid when your contract is accepted to hold your spot. Dexter Community Schools staff do not pay the registration fee.

ELEYO Info

Eleyo is a software program Dexter Community Schools uses to receive payments for child care, yearbooks, athletic fees, and community education classes. To use it, parents set up a family account, which we will link to your child's contract after your signed contract is executed. You can add your spouse/partner and other children to the same account.
